CELEBRATES THE MEMORY OF ITS CO-FOUNDER,
STEVEN B. WILLIAMS 1947-2006
Referred to by his broadcasting peers as "The Pipes," Steven B. Williams
commanded Hawaii radio audiences’ attention in the 70‘s with his deep,
resonant voice on KKUA AM 69 and sister rocker KQMQ 93 FM.
Later, in Denver, he was half of KBPI FM’s legendary, ratings-topping
"Steven B. and the Hawk" morning team.Together, they wrote and produced
a hit comedy series that was carried by NBC on nearly 200 stations and it was
during this affiliation with NBC that many of their on-air skits were recycled
on The Tonight Show with Johnny Carson.
In his voice-over career, Frontier Airlines, Mountain Bell, Ford, Diamond
Brand Almonds, GMC Trucks and the San Francisco Giants were prominent
on his reel. Steven B. was also the host and producer of an internationally-
syndicated radio show called The World’s Greatest Hits heard in over 3,000
markets around the world.” Co-founder and the original voice of CyberScramble,
Steven B. Williams was truly one of a kind.
